In 2015, I took up a job as an accounting trainee. I soon realised that this was not my true calling. I was learning to create wagons while self-driving cars were on their way. Under mentorship from a finance genius, Barne du Toit, we started a new company in 2017 called Meshed Group (Pty) Ltd.
In 2019 we were acknowledged by Sage as the Digital firm of the year in South Africa. Focusing on automation and optimisation of finance systems, the company quickly grew to one of the most renowned advisory firms in Cloud Adoption and App advisory. We have since become a Xero only integration partner, focusing on integrations and application advisory. My main focus is to enable firms with the best cloud application available. I strive to automate mundane, repetitive tasks so that advisors and accountants can focus on high-value tasks.
To this day, Barne is still my Mr. Miyagi. I am fond of the most difficult tasks and spending time automating them. In my spare time, I enjoy craft beer and biltong. Obstacle courses are on my bucket list every year.

I grew up in Cape Town and decided to pursue my passion for people by studying Educational Psychology at the University of Stellenbosch. After graduating, I pursued my passion for contributing to the development of others in the field of education. During my time as an English and Life Orientation Educator, I wrote the HPCSA board exam to become a Registered Counsellor. In order to further enhance my skills, I completed a Course in Sport Psychology.
After a rewarding career in education, I turned my interest to the private sector. In preparation for this part of my career, I completed several courses and underwent Facilitator Training. Finally, I completed the Stellenbosch University BPsych Equivalence program which led to my registration as a Psychometrist (Independent Practice) with the HPCSA. It was during my time at Stellenbosch that I re-discovered my passion for (statistical) data and for interpreting it in such a way that it benefits both the users (and subjects) thereof.
Whilst my scope of applying data-driven insights to improve processes and the lives of others has been extensive, I gladly highlight a few of the projects that I have had the privilege to be part of:
*Contract- and project management for several ICT projects;
*Oversee the re-design and implementation of an end-to-end performance management process;
*Oversee the implementation of psychometric assessments as part of the recruitment and selection process in a range of business environments to improve the efficacy of the process as a whole;
*Creation and implementation of several predictive Business Intelligence models – including a highly accurate annual turn-over projection model.
Whilst the journey thus far has been exhilarating, I am excited by the proposal that the best is yet to come!

I am the Senior Data Analyst at Meshed Group (Pty) Ltd. I am responsible for the BI reporting element Meshed Group provides.
I have a BCom degree in accounting and have completed my SAIPA accounting articles in December 2021.
I aspire to achieve the best and most efficient and time-effective results. Numbers fascinate me, and I love working with and visualising data.
My hobbies include watching sports, going to the beach, and flying racing pigeons. This is especially exciting, as there are a lot of variables that influence your racing team’s performance.
One of my all-time favourite quotes is – “Nothing worth doing comes easy”, and I try to live by this quote when approaching significant challenges.

In 2017 I started Du Toit Business Services providing accounting and payroll services, teaches accounting 101 to working professionals, and gives training on MS Office products and various accounting systems.

I am a Junior Software/Web Developer at Meshed Group (Pty) Ltd. In my previous role as an IT technician, my interest and enthusiasm for technology only intensified. I then commenced on a self-guided learning path and immersed myself into the world of programming. Soon after, I embarked on my initial real-world experience through an internship, eventually advancing to the position of Junior Developer. That is when I joined the Meshed family. Now I am in good hands being mentored by Jannie Blignaut.
I appreciate sincerity and faithfulness in those around me and strive to embody these characteristics myself. I also appreciate a good sense of humour. I am an avid gamer and I enjoy hiking and fishing. From my earliest memories, I found myself captivated by all things tech. As an avid gamer and enthusiast for computers and electronic devices, my fascination only deepened over time.
Following high school, I took a detour into the pharmaceutical world, where I dedicated five years to becoming a competent pharmacist assistant. However, the allure of technology persisted, prompting a pivotal decision at the age of 23 to align my career with my true passion.
Embarking on a self-guided learning path, I immersed myself in A+, N+, and the fundamental Microsoft suite. Soon after, I secured a position as a technician at a prominent retail computer store. However, I realised that without formal degrees or diplomas, there was a limit to my growth in the technician role.
Undeterred, I committed to expanding my knowledge. Every day after work, I devoted a minimum of two hours to self-study, focusing on programming with an initial emphasis on JavaScript. This dedication paid off when I secured an internship as a C# developer. Despite entering the professional sphere, my thirst for knowledge persisted, leading me to explore various frameworks and refine my skills until I felt prepared to transition into the role of a junior developer.
Today, I bring a unique blend of hands-on experience, self-driven learning, and a relentless passion for technology to any project or team I engage with. I am excited about the continuous evolution of the tech landscape and eager to contribute my skills to its dynamic future.
